Stanford was founded in 2007 and we believe that our motivations for starting our own agency are even more relevant today. We found all too often that large agencies are focused on numbers and not people. Our focus is on building solid long-lasting relationships. We are here to help your hiring managers hone their interviewing skills so they make sound hiring decisions. We provide background checks and drug screenings to ensure our candidates meet your high standards.

We can’t promise that we will find every person that submits a resume a job, but we can promise you that we will work hard trying. Cynthia Sedlacek


Cynthia envisioned a staffing agency that built its foundation on strong and enduring relationships with her clients and candidates. In 2007 she founded Stanford Search & Staffing in Boca Raton, FL. She provides companies with insights into the hiring process that go well beyond the typical recruiting experience, focusing not only on skills, but also work culture compatibility. Cynthia’s candidates enjoy working with her to sharpen their interviewing skills and develop job search strategies, and her clients appreciate the high quality candidates she presents.

Cynthia started her career in Minnesota identifying top talent for major employers such as 3M, Medtronic’s and Honeywell. Clients often describe Cynthia not only as a talented recruiter, but someone that conducts herself with personal integrity and with having a passion for excellence. Working with her boutique agency has proven to be a refreshing experience for both her clients and candidates. Cynthia offers a unique recruiting perspective because of her experience working in both external and internal recruiting roles. She has been recognized as a “Top Performing” recruiter by a national staffing firm. As her career evolved, she has enjoyed partnering with start-up companies, legal firms and businesses across all industries to build their teams and achieve their goals. Cynthia is an Airs Certified Recruiter with additional certifications in Social Media and Internet Recruiting.

One of Cynthia’s favorite activities is to read a good book and pass it on to a friend. She loves meeting new people and cooking for her family & friends. Some of her best times have been spent around the table enjoying good food and great conversations.

Robert Sedlacek


As a Partner at Stanford Search & Staffing, Rob understands the value of developing long-term relationships with clients and candidates alike.  He knows this happens only when clients are satisfied that the candidates he provides are exceptional, and the candidates achieve their objectives by securing roles in companies where they can excel.  Rob’s recruiting approach draws on his experience from his successful corporate career, coupled with his passion for service excellence.

Prior to joining Stanford, Rob held senior positions in sales leadership and operations, business development, general management, marketing, and finance in Fortune 500 companies.  His broad business acumen helps enable a unique understanding of business and role requirements and what it takes to be a successful addition to a team.  Much of his career has been focused on equipping teams to be more effective, including the recruitment of top talent.  His experience in sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and coaching talent serve him well in the search and staffing industry.  Rob extends his experience to Stanford Search & Staffing, where he focuses on the identification and placement of outstanding talent into organizations across industries and functions.

Outside of work, Rob is an avid golfer, enjoys biking, the beach, and spending time with his family.  He is an active member and an elected officer of his church and enjoys volunteering his time in community service.
